But during a time when you can never do too much for peace of mind, Coffetek has now introduced the “Distance Select” selection system, a highly advanced hygiene management system. Available on certain Coffetek coffee machines now, this technology can change the way you interact with the equipment you use every day.

What exactly is Distance Select?

Distance Select replaces the need for push button or touch-screen panels on vending machines. Instead, the user can obtain their selection remotely, without having to make any contact with the machine.

Known as Distance Selection Technology, it works from a distance of up to 2cm from the surface of the selection panel. Just hover your finger over the icon and the coffee machine will take care of the rest as normal.

It has been developed courtesy of the Azkoyen Group, which is the technological umbrella that owns Coffetek Limited. The technology adds safety and hygiene to the purchasing process for those consumers who require a little bit more.

The benefits of this technology.

Distance Select creates a hygienic barrier between the user and the machine. Whilst coffee machines and vending machines are perfectly safe, Distance Select goes one step further.

The technology behind the revolution wins the consumers’ confidence to use an automatic vending machine, allowing them to enjoy and indulge the best selection of coffee and hot beverage safely.

It is a great option if you want added peace of mind, though is by no means a necessity. The choice is completely up to you.

How can I enjoy Distance Select?

The technology is now available on new Vitro (excluding the Vitro S1 range) and Zen coffee machines and the Neo floorstanding hot drinks machine. The new Neo Touch model is excluded.

Distance Select will be fitted to these machines, but it is up to you if you want to enable it. Meanwhile, if you’re an existing customer who already uses one of the above machines, then you can have the technology retrofitted. Contact us for more information on this.
